Enzo Cazzanelli

is graduated in Physics at the University of Trento (1978). Between July 1983 and october 1992 research assistant at the University of Trento. Since 1992 associate professor at the University of Calabria, he has teached for 25 years Laboratory of Physics of the Matter, Spectroscopic techniques, Laboratory of Physical Diagnostics (applied to Cultural Heritage). Fields of scientific activity: Vibrational spectroscopy of disordered solids, crystalline and amorphous, solid electrolytes, electrochromic materials.Characterization and development of electrochromic materials and devices. Application of mixed conduction oxide thin films to control the electrooptic properties of liquid crystal devices. Recent research issues: Lithium intercalation in policrystalline V2O5 films and in various kind of V2O5 gels. Polymeric electrolytes: polymeric gels based on PMMA, PAN, polymeric blends, non aqueous solvents and LiClO4. Lithium intercalation in amorphous carbon. Optical and structural modification of WO3 powders after milling treatments or mixture with other oxides. Introduction of WO3 layers in liquid crystal cells and related changes of electro-optical responses. Study of vibrational and magnetic excitations (Magnons) in NiO thin films and in mixed crystals NiO-MgO. Vibrational spectroscopy of ionic liquids.Study of carbon nanotubes, SWCNT and MWCNT, more recently graphene. Spectroscopic study of molecular orientation in mixed systems polymer-liquid crystal. Micro-Raman characterization of artistic and archeological objects.
